Water Safety forms part of grade 4 learners Life Orientation curriculum as trained facilitators by LSA we present these programmes to all schools who opens their doors. We also present Water Safety talks at sport clubs, holiday camps and during holiday programmes.

What is Water Safety :

  • Choose safe areas to swim ( lifeguards on duty)
  • Rip Currents what to do and how to avoid being caught in one
  • Always swim with a friend
  • Know your limits
    If in doubt stay out

Learn 2 Swim

EcoActive has been presenting a learn to swim programme to 4 primary schools, Capricorn, Levana, Zerilda and Hillwood since 2017 and started introducing the programmes to high schools in 2018. We are currently in 3 high schools Lavender Hill, Sibelius and Cafda School of Skills. Our mission is to keep all children safe around water by presenting water safety talks and learn to swim programmes and imparting life skills through the discipline of sports.

Holiday Programmes

Holiday Programmes for the year consist of 2 clinics and a end of year camp

The aim of the clinics is to expose the kids of the communities to other sporting codes – Experiencing new things exposes them to a world of opportunities( dreaming – believing – achieving)

The aim of the camp is to allow kids to explore the outdoors, build friendships, discover their best selves and develop the character of compassion and the confidence to lead. We would like to instill the values of trust, respect, faith, and responsibility so that they can go home into their communities and make a positive difference.
